Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
What is an Employee Assistance Program?
An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a company-sponsored program offering assessment, short-term intervention, referral and follow-up services for employees and household members who are looking for help in dealing with the stress caused by life changes or problems. It is voluntary, private and available to all those who want to find help before a crisis or problem begins to affect their lives profoundly.
How does an Employee Assistance Program work?
Employees, or their household family members, may request an appointment simply by calling the EAP directly. Appointments will be scheduled at your convenience in one of our Greater Cincinnati offices, or with a clinician elsewhere in the U.S., close to where you live or work. You will meet with a professional EAP clinician in a relaxed, private atmosphere to discuss your concerns.
If you or your clinician decide that further help or more intensive treatment is needed, your clinician will guide you with the appropriate referral.
Who provides the service in an Employee Assistance Program?
All care is provided by licensed Masters or Doctoral-level staff with specialized training in behavioral health and EAP services.
